Anyone that has been to university and had to write a research paper will know how difficult it can be. Often you do not have a lot of time to write it, you have limited resources and you may not even have a full understanding of what you need to do. This can cause stress and panic, but there are several things that you can do.
Start as soon as you can. Read through the question and any additional requirements a few times and then visit the library and get out some books on the subject and find out more about it and make some notes, including references for the essay. Different fields of study will have different ways of doing referencing so you will need to make sure that you find out about that as well. Once you have reached this stage you will know whether you have a good understanding of what is required. If you are unsure then go and see the tutor to find out more. Ask them to explain what they require and show them what you have done so far.
It could be wise to write out a plan of what you think you need to do, even if you are not totally sure, so that it demonstrates you have been thinking about it. Even if it is wrong, it is better than having nothing to show them. They will be able to point you in the right direction and help you to improve it. Then you should be able to get on and write it knowing that you have the right ideas. You could even take it to show them when you have finished, to make sure that it is right.
If you do not have a tutor that can help you or you do not want to do that, then you could try asking other students for help. You could consult with those studying alongside you, to see what they are doing, but they might not be right. It could be better to consult with someone who did the course the year before as they may have their marked version of the work that you could have a look at and learn from. Do not copy it though as many tutors have good memories and if the same person marks it, they may remember it from before.
Some students feel that they need to ask someone to ‘write my research paper’. This can be if they have just simply not left enough time to fit it in or feel like they will just not be able to do another job. There are companies or individuals who you can pay to answer your paper for you. Although this could resolve your problem, there is a chance the tutor will notice that it is not your style of writing or it may not be correct. It may be a risk that you are willing to take and if you can afford it, could be an alternative option for you to consider taking up.
